Welcome to WeissKlang V13,

a large-diaphragm condenser microphone with a natural frequency response,
an excellent impulse response and a high performance.

  • What should a condenser microphone be like?

  • What should it sound like?

  • Which technology offers the best quality?

We answered these questions during several years of conception and in
cooperation with experienced sound engineers.

DEVELOPMENT

v13.jpg

The characteristics of both voices and musical instruments are unique.
Therefore the demands for a versatile large-diaphragm microphone are very high.

The WeissKlang V13 uses a discrete and transformerless circuit as well as high-graded components for excellent acoustic qualities and a high dynamic range.

With the excellent impulse response and the clear and linear character,
the V13 is perfectly suitable for critical recording processes.

wmk13-3.jpg

The V13 offers a high dynamic range and with its
low self equivalent noise level of <10 dB-A it’s almost noise-free.

The frequency range of 20 Hz – 20.000 Hz also allows extremely low (and high) frequencies to be captured.

The newly developed WMK-13 capsule is gold-sputtered, acoustically well-balanced and least sensitive at the rear (cardioid).

In order to get the best possible acoustic properties, the circuit and the capsule are matched.

We rely not only on measurement data, but also on acoustic perception.

V13development-2.jpg

The technical characteristics of a microphone are defined by the quality of its components.

By using and matchin high-quality and hand-selected components,
the WeissKlang V13 offers a natural and flat frequency response as well as a smooth polar response.

Long-life capacitors from Germany and MIL-standard resistors ensure accurate and low-noise signal processing.

v13test-2.jpg

The V13 impresses with its timeless and simple design.
The body is made of copper and hardened aluminum.

The slightly roughened and powder-coated surface is very resistant and durable. Thanks to a patented manufacturing technique, the body resonances were reduced to a minimum and do not affect the frequency response of the microphone.

The shape of the grille ensures even scattering of the incoming sound, thus avoiding so-called “standing waves”.

MA-1.jpg

By using the included MA-1 shock mount, the microphone is mechanically decoupled to reduce the impact of physical vibrations.
The low frequency absorption goes up to 18 dB.

Equipped with a soft foam layer, the shock mount ensures quick and secure attachment with adjustable tilt angle and avoids bothersome tinkering.

The flexible rubber bands offer an ideal isolation and are replaceable.
