grants a warranty for microphones that covers any manufacturing and processing defects for a period of thirty-six months. The warranty period begins with the purchase of the microphone through our sales channels by the first-time end customer.

​

KlangShield is an extended warranty for your microphone and covers all damage, regardless of the cause. With the purchase of a KlangShield package, the warranty on the microphone is extended for the duration of the KlangShield package.

Warranty services for this product can also be claimed in other countries, provided that this product was sold by us in the respective country and the respective national law does not conflict with our warranty provisions.

​

The UN Sales Convention (CISG) shall not apply.

 

If the product proves to be defective during the warranty period under normal conditions of use and maintenance, please contact us.

You can contact us by email or by telephone. You will need the certificate number issued by us as proof of the KlangShield warranty.

This can be found on your KlangShield certificate, which you will receive after purchasing the KlangShield package. For the normal factory warranty, you will need the purchase invoice.

• The warranty is only valid upon presentation of proof of purchase consisting of the original purchase receipt stating the date of purchase, model name, serial number and product number. WeissKlang Mikrofone reserves the right to refuse warranty service if this information has been removed or altered after the product was purchased.

For the KlangShield warranty, you will also need the certificate number shown on your KlangShield certificate.

• WeissKlang Mikrofone undertakes to repair the defective part or, at our discretion, to replace the product (service replacement unit).

The KlangShield warranty is always valid and covers all damage to the microphone, including self-inflicted damage.

 

• Warranty repairs are carried out directly by us. The costs of repairs not carried out by us will not be reimbursed and there is no warranty claim for tampering with the product by unauthorized persons or workshops. This also applies to repairs under the KlangShield warranty.

 

• Repairs or replacements under warranty do not entitle the warranty period to be extended or restarted. However, the KlangShield warranty remains valid for all damages covered by the warranty conditions, without restrictions due to causes of damage.

The following points are not covered by the factory warranty:

​

​

• Insignificant and non-functionally limiting deviations that are insignificant for the use of the product

 

• Improper use or misuse, including, but not limited to, failure to use this product for its normal purpose or in accordance with WeissKlang's instructions for use and maintenance

 

• Accessories supplied (windscreen, storage box, etc.)

 

• Repairs carried out by unauthorized persons, for example disassembly of the product

 

• Unauthorized modifications made to the product

 

• Defects due to wear and tear and force majeure

The KlangShield warranty covers all damage to the microphone, including the following cases,
which are not normally covered by the factory warranty:

​

  • All functional deviations, even if these are not directly restrictive for the use of the product.

​

  • Any kind of improper use or misuse, even if the product is not used for normal use or in accordance with the instructions for use and maintenance. This also includes damage caused by user error.

​

  • Unauthorized modifications to the microphone are not covered by the KlangShield warranty. However, this exception only applies to modifications made outside the authorized repair process.

​

  • Repairs carried out by the customer are not covered, as the KlangShield warranty is designed for repairs to be carried out by us. If the microphone is repaired independently, the warranty will no longer apply.

​

  • Defects due to wear and tear or force majeure are not covered by the factory warranty, but the KlangShield warranty also takes these scenarios into account and damage is also covered in these cases.

​

  • Supplied accessories such as windscreens, storage boxes or cables are not covered by the KlangShield warranty.

​

The KlangShield warranty covers any damage to the microphone that occurs under normal or exceptional circumstances, including the following scenarios, which are generally not covered by the factory warranty:

​

  • Moisture damage: Damage caused by water, sweat or other liquids affecting the microphone is covered by the KlangShield warranty. This also includes damage caused by falling into water or moisture that could damage the microphone.

​

  • Dust and dirt damage: Damage caused by dust, dirt or other environmental influences that get into the microphone and impair its function is also covered. For example, this could happen if the microphone is used in dusty or smoky environments.

​

  • Contamination by chemicals or other substances: If the microphone is damaged by chemical substances, lubricants or other contaminating materials that may affect the components, this is covered by the KlangShield warranty.

​

  • Temperature fluctuations: Damage caused by extremely high or low temperatures, such as the microphone being left in a hot car or sudden cold snaps during outdoor use, are also covered.

​

  • Impacts and collisions: If the microphone is damaged by a drop or impact, such as falling off a table or improper handling, the KlangShield warranty will also cover this damage.

​

  • Wear and tear due to regular use: Damage caused by natural wear and tear due to frequent use is also covered by the KlangShield warranty. This could occur due to frequent transportation, use in different environmental conditions or repeated handling of the microphone.

​

  • Electrical faults or power surges: Damage caused by electrical problems such as power surges, power failures or improper use of power sources is also covered by the KlangShield warranty.
